Hide "relevant", shorts, etc. on YouTube subscriptions page

Posted on June 29, 2026

YouTube has begun “optimizing” the formerly sacred subscriptions page by introducing large sections containing shorts and videos supposedly “relevant” according to YouTube. These sections take a ton of screen space, literally forcing me to scroll to reach any meaningful amount of chronologically sorted videos on my screen. They also added a direct link to the list of subscribed channels at the very top of the sub page for some reason.

Luckily, we can use uBlock Origin to hide these sections and obtain a pure chronological sub box again. Install uBlock Origin in your browser, then click its icon and click on the gear icon to open its dashboard. Then click on the “My filters” tab, make sure that “Enable my custom filters” is checked and paste the following line, then click “Apply changes” and reload YouTube.
